How to use cloud POS with SwipeSynq

This guide shows how to use cloud POS with SwipeSynq — from signup to first successful sale — whether you run retail, a restaurant, a bar, or a mix.

Time to first sale

Most single-location merchants can complete basic setup the same day. Hospitality venues should budget extra time for floor maps, station routing, and staff device pairing.

01

Create your organization

Your country choice sets the tax engine, currency defaults, phone rules, and payment rails for everything that follows.

  • Register with email and password at the onboarding URL.
  • Select your country profile.
  • Enable industry packs: Retail, Restaurant, and/or Bar.
02

Add locations and devices

Locations own stock, terminals, and shifts — get them right before you import a catalog.

  • Create each physical outlet.
  • Assign terminals and the payment methods allowed in your country.
  • Pair floor devices for Waiter or the kitchen display where needed.
  • Invite managers and staff; set PINs and roles.
03

Build your catalog

Import from Shopify if you already have a catalog — or create everything locally.

  • Retail: products, variants, barcodes, categories, and tax or HSN fields as required.
  • Restaurant: menu items, modifiers, courses, and station routing.
  • Bar: alcohol flags, recipes and measures, glassware, and happy hour rules.
04

Take orders

Four order modes, one ledger.

Retail counter

Where
POS register
Typical flow
Scan or add → discount → pay → receipt

Dine-in

Where
Waiter app
Typical flow
Seat table → order → fire → pay or split

Bar

Where
Waiter or bar tab
Typical flow
Open tab → serve → age check if needed → settle

Takeaway / delivery

Where
POS or guest and delivery flows
Typical flow
Order → prep on the kitchen display → handoff
05

Collect payment

SwipeSynq only shows payment methods valid for your country profile — for example UPI and EDC terminals in India, and card and cash focused rails in the UK, GCC, and USA. Split tender, wallets, and gift cards are available where enabled.

06

Run the business day

The daily loop that keeps reporting trustworthy.

  • Open and close shifts, and reconcile cash.
  • Watch kitchen and bar tickets on the display.
  • Transfer stock between locations.
  • Review sales and tax reports.
  • Process returns or refunds with an audit trail.
07

Connect channels (optional)

Channels are additive. Nothing here is required to trade.

  • Connect Shopify for import or bidirectional sync.
  • Enable delivery marketplace connections available in your country.
  • Embed the reservation widget on your restaurant website.
  • Watch the roadmap for QuickBooks, SAP, and other enterprise connectors.
Upcoming

QuickBooks, SAP, and other enterprise connectors are on the roadmap — they are not live integrations today.
