What SwipeSynq is, and what it replaces.
- What is SwipeSynq?
- SwipeSynq is multi-industry cloud POS software for retail stores, restaurants, and bars. It works standalone and can optionally sync with Shopify and other platforms.
- Do I need Shopify to use SwipeSynq?
- No. Shopify is optional. You can create products, take payments, and manage inventory entirely inside SwipeSynq. See Shopify POS integration for how the optional channel works.
- Which industries does SwipeSynq support?
- Retail, Restaurant, and Bar — as enableable packs on one platform. Many merchants run more than one pack.
- Is SwipeSynq only for India?
- No. SwipeSynq supports India, the United Kingdom, the United States, and GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait), with local currency and tax behaviour in-app. Browse areas served for country detail.

Pricing & trial
What it costs and how billing works.
- How much does SwipeSynq cost?
- Current plans: Free Trial, Single Location ($49.99/mo), Multi Location ($129.99/mo), and Unlimited ($289.99/mo). See POS software pricing.
- What currency will my store use day to day?
- Your POS uses your country's currency — INR, GBP, USD, AED, SAR, and other supported currencies.
- How long is the free trial?
- 14 days by default. On request, we can extend evaluation up to 30 days.
- Is there a setup fee?
- No setup fee for standard self-serve onboarding.

Tax, payments, compliance
How money and tax behave by country.
- Does SwipeSynq support GST in India?
- Yes. India organizations use GST calculation (CGST/SGST/IGST) with HSN-aware invoicing and GSTR-oriented export workflows. See GST and VAT POS.
- Does SwipeSynq support VAT in the UK and GCC?
- Yes. UK and GCC profiles use VAT engines appropriate to the country, with local receipt and tax labelling.
- Does SwipeSynq support sales tax in the USA?
- Yes. United States organizations use a sales-tax engine with state-based rate profiles. Deeper nexus and tax-provider integrations remain on the roadmap for merchants who need full destination-based automation.
- What payment methods are supported?
- Rails are country-gated. India commonly includes cash, card EDC (PineLabs/Paytm), UPI, wallet, and gift card. UK, GCC, and USA profiles emphasize cash, card, wallet, and gift card as configured. See payment terminal integration.
- Are card details stored on SwipeSynq servers?
- Sensitive card data is handled by payment providers and terminals. SwipeSynq stores transaction references and statuses needed for orders and reconciliation — not raw card numbers.

Hospitality
Floor, kitchen, and bar operations.
- Does SwipeSynq include a kitchen display system?
- Yes. The kitchen display system routes tickets to kitchen or bar stations.
- Can waiters take orders on the floor?
- Yes. The Waiter app supports floor maps, ordering, firing courses, and payment handoff.
- Do you support reservations?
- Yes. Merchants get reservation tools plus an embeddable booking widget for their website. See restaurant reservation system.
- Can bars run tabs and happy hour?
- Yes. The Bar pack includes tabs, happy hour rules, age verification aligned to country rules, recipes and measures, and cover charges.

Retail & inventory
Stock control across counters and outlets.
- Can I manage purchase orders and stock transfers?
- Yes. Retail workflows include suppliers, purchase orders, receiving, multi-location transfers, and adjustments.
- Can I sell online and fulfill in store?
- Yes. Pickup-style (BOPIS) workflows are supported when connected channels send pickup orders into SwipeSynq.
- Do you support returns, exchanges, and gift cards?
- Yes. The Retail POS software pack includes returns and exchanges, gift cards, and promotions tooling.

Integrations
What connects today, and what is upcoming.
- What platforms can I connect today?
- Shopify is the primary ecommerce sync today, in import and bidirectional modes. Delivery marketplace adapters are country-gated — for example Swiggy and Zomato in India, Deliveroo and Uber Eats style channels in the UK, and Talabat and HungerStation style channels in the GCC, as enabled.
- Are QuickBooks and SAP available?
- Not yet. Accounting and ERP connectors such as QuickBooks and SAP are on the integration roadmap for merchants who need deeper enterprise sync.
- Will disconnecting Shopify delete my catalog?
- No. SwipeSynq remains the source of truth for your local catalog and orders.

Security & access
How staff sign in and what they can reach.
- How do staff log in on devices?
- Devices can be paired, and staff unlock with a PIN under organization-scoped credentials. Cashier and hospitality scopes limit what each role can access.
- Can I run multiple locations?
- Yes. Plans support one, several, or unlimited locations depending on the package.
